TechWizard0018 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2017 Hey guys Getting the same error. I asked in another post if anybody had an earlier version of pinsound studio. I think it's the new version is not supported by DE tables I have v0.

TechWizard0018 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2017 Jurrasic Park Batman For now
Baptiste 10 Report post Posted November 21, 2017 Hello TechWizard ! About what pinball machine Batman do you speak?Batman 1991 or Batman Forever? If it is Batman 1991: this pinball machine has a particular functioning of the sound management, and it does not work with Pinsound Studio or with the card directly. It needs an additional system file. This file is not downloadable directly, but you can download one of the 3 available mixs, and get back the file: "config.pinsound" which is on the base of the mix. This file is not only the configuration of the volumes sfx, jingle, voices, music, single, and automute... as for the other pinball machines, but it contains the information of configuration of the pinball machine Batman specifically!!!! You have to put this file " config.pinsound " in the base of your mix Batman necessarily. On the other hand, for Jurassic Park, I cannot tell you why you have problems... See you ! Salut TechWizard ! A+!
LeChucksBeard 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2018 Having the same issue. I'm using Pinsound Studio with Visual Pinball, and any Data East/Sega table gives that error. For me it's batman, Jurassic Park, Tommy, South Park.
LeChucksBeard 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2018 (edited) Does anyone have a working link for version 0.8? Edit: Nevermind this. 0.8 will play the Data East mixes but won't play many other mixes that have been recoded for 0.9. mattbini 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2018 Hi I have been trying Pinsound Studio on my hobby virtual pin cab and have the same problem with Data East tables, 'Unsupported sound sytem bsmt' using v0.9, although the files will load up in the studio to edit, I also tried using using V0.8, I dont get the error but get silence and info missing for all files and I cant load the files into the editor just get a blank page. A shame as I really was looking forward to trying out the StarWars by Pinhead. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

stumblor 1 Report post Posted July 14, 2018 (edited) I'm also struggling with this one. All Data East Tables, ie: Guns n Roses. Edit: Seems there are issues with BSMT tables in v0.9: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33261&page=3 Could anyone confirm at pinsound please, or whether there are any workarounds? artyfarty 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2018 Hi - I have SSF set up on my pincab. With the new version of Pinsound Studio, sounds are coming out through the exciters attached to the table, rather than just through the music speakers (which is how it worked in the previous 0.9 version). Is there any way to control this?

The gain.txt files in the folder sub structure also appear to be deleted now, but not if in the top level folder of the sound package?
nicolas 8 Report post Posted September 17, 2018 What do you mean by "exciters"?
scutters 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2018 Exciters are vibration speakers. In visual pinball you can have 7.1 sound, front speakers are at the back of the cab with exciter speakers as surround speakers at the rear and front of the playfield to give sound & vibration feedback for mechanical / ball effects. The sound in the latest pinsound studio uses all sound channels rather than the front (backglass) speakers alone in stereo. Hope that helps..

Is there any way to control this? It seems that using the openal32.dll file distributed with v0.9 of pinsound studio (attached) will change the sound back to stereo instead of surround in the new version of studio. Just backup new copy and drop it in its place. This seems stable and works, but i do have issues with the star trek 1991 mix in visual pinball with pinsound studio 18.8.3 crashing out... might still be a data east thing?, not sure.. openal32.dll
Leisinger 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2018 Is it safe playing around with .dll files like that? I've never done that before.
