  1. Hi! Been working on my Frankenstein pinsound mix. Man, this is time consuming, we are talking days and days of work! Replaced most of the sound effects, quotes, voices and music with the originals from the movie. Robert De Niro is now the main monster scream source! Now, the sega/data east games really lack the ammount of soundtriggers that for instance my williams BSD has, so therefore I had to figure out how to implement more sounds and call outs, and background efffects. Like in the STONING mode, there is now an angry mob taunting and screaming at the monster during the mode. And in LYNCH JUSTINE mode you can hear the angry mob, original music and Justine screaming for her life. NORTH POLE mode has wind and footsteps in the snow. HIGH VOLTAGE mode has som "hurry up" voice fx, and yells at you to shoot the ramp. The flipper lanes now have a more "fire fx" to them, since the artwork kind of asks for it, having Elisabeth in flames... And we have more Elisabeth voicecalls now, even the Monster calling her. Changing mode now has a much more distinct sound, making it a more obvious MODE CHANGE The monster now screams before throwing the ball at you (with throw FX) And so on... Did not manage to get the new ball saver sound and Geneva voice fx in the video... Things like this makes the game much more involving, and to me ads a lot. My goal is to give the game a movie like feel, and to have the sound drag you into the gameplay with really dynamic and suitable efffects and music.

    Hi! I am currently working on a reorchestration/re-sound design on Bram Stokers Dracula. Since I am a big fan of the movie, I am for now using most of the moviesoundtrack istead of the original score by Paul Heitsch, witch is awesome, but unfortunately a bit dated soundwise . Maybe later I will take the time to reorchestrate it. But, the movie soundtrack also works really great. I am also creating multiple layers of new sounds and samples. Trying to make it more exiting with real sounds and effects instead of the mono synth-effects. All new samples and effects are really dynamic and in stereo! I`m able to extract the dialouge call outs from the movie`s DTS 5.1 center channel info, but some voice samples created especially for the game like "extra ball" and so on, is not easy to re-create. They will possibly be left out, unless some of you know a great impersonator, or have access to the master recordings :-) This takes a lot of time, but I would say I`m half way done. So in a few weeks I will upload to the community. Cheers!

    I see. I use facebook messenger to contact, and they respond quite fast there. Remeber, they do have day jobs, so I dont think they have that much time on their hands after work. I guess patience is important. :-) I believe they can fix this.

    I think you should start making a new sound design! It is a lot of work, but the reward is really great πŸ™‚ And when you are done you can share with everyone, contributing to the community, making everyone with a batman forever love you. ;-) Although you would need a starting point with the stock audio and foldernames.. I believe that is what the pinsound guys have done with all the other games on the site. Have you contacted them about this?

    1. Yes, all the files insider a folder named Audio at root. 2. The config file should also be in the audio folder. 3. The board is converting the files onto the USB stick. So, no files are being stored inside the board memory. You can unzip the files before transfering to the USB stick. That will save you alot of time. The pinside board reads .wav files Just post here if you get stuck πŸ™‚πŸ‘

    The USB drive needs to be in place, yes. You can select some audio clips to be preloaded via the pinstudio software, for samples that require fast delivery with low latency, like popbumpers and slingshots.

    It's really not that hard to do. But it takes a LOT of time. I have made two custom sound designs, one for BSD and one MSF. On both I have found a ton of sfx on YouTube, and with audacity audio editor freeware you can easily record, edit and combine sounds, add some delay/revert etc to make it even more interesting. For dialogue you can extract the dialogue channel from the DVD or Blu-ray either with software or connect a recording device to the analogue output of your DVD/Blu-ray or even a pre-out on your home theater receiver.     Why exFat? Try regular FAT.

    Just import it to a daw(audacity) and adjust the volume to taste. Export to .wav and replace the loud one.

    Good morning! It`s been a while since i have played my Dracula pin due too my pinsound board had been transfered to my frankenstein pin for a remix. Now I have a pinsound board for my Dracula and I played it a while yesterday. I found a few level issues (voices mostly, like 20 million and such) and I think general balance issues. So I will upload a new version with level fixes and maybe also some new exiting FX/voices next week :-) It helps beeing away from projects sometimes. It`s like getting a fresh listen with new ears :-)

I really like the track, it rocks, but I am thinking of making a total remix with more rock instrumentals in a different folder. But, since it is an option in the game it is there :-) - New Frankenstein intro on start game - Added electricity sounds during "throw switch" skill shot (for now only when original music score is selected) - STONING mode, there is now an angry mob taunting and screaming at the monster during the mode. And The Monster grunts when getting hit. - LYNCH JUSTINE mode you can hear the angry mob, original music and Justine screaming for her life. - NORTH POLE mode has wind and footsteps in the snow. - HIGH VOLTAGE mode has som "hurry up" voice fx, and yells at you to shoot the ramp. - FLIPPER LANES now has More Elisabeth voicecalls from Victor and the Monster with a fire inspired fx. The Ellisabeth "monster" is also here, shouting in desperation with a flame surrounding fx. And a nice one when she call out Victor`s name. - GRAVEYARD mode with new movie quotes from Victor talking about raw materials and tissue to be reused ;-) - CHANGING SCENE now has a much more distinct sound, making it a more obvious SCENE CHANGE - THE MONSTER now screams before throwing the ball at you (with throw FX) - NEW BALLSAVER sounds with movie quote from Victor - TILT WARNINGS from the movie - More of the Monster screaming and also some crying ;-) - NEW MULTIBALL FX with heartbeat before Monster throw - BALL LOCK voiceover when ball lock is ready - END OF MODE movie quotes - NEW EXTRA BALL FX/Voice with panning sound when ball rolls accross the display - NEW SPECIAL sound - NEW JACKPOT voice.
